This week, MoveBuddha released a report highlighting the Florida suburbs with the highest demand.
The study indicates that about one-third of Americans want to live in suburban areas—places with more space, better schools, and “simply more room to spread out.” WKMG
“These notable suburbs have the highest proportion of searches for people moving in from urban areas within their metropolitan region (excluding the region’s main city),” the report states. WKMG
In Florida, the suburb that topped the rankings was Clermont, with an “inbound vs. outbound” ratio of 2. This places Clermont in 11th place nationally. WKMG
It's not the only place in Florida to make the list: Wesley Chapel ranked 13th, while Haines City ranked 17th. WKMG
“These figures highlight that Florida’s growth isn’t just driven by retirees or the coastal lifestyle,” a MoveBuddha spokesperson told News 6. “It’s families and professionals choosing suburbs with an attractive lifestyle that balance cost with access to jobs and amenities.” WKMG
However, there is one drawback to these coveted locations: home prices. According to the report, homes in the most desirable suburbs cost about 57% more than the average American home. And prices are expected to rise even further. WKMG
“Only 31 of the 81 major suburbs offer below-average prices, with home prices ranging from about $187,000 in Warren (OH) to $3.49 million in Palo Alto (CA),” the study continues.
