Coming to Greater Orlando in 2020, Olympus is a 250-acre master-planned community featuring Sports City, an elite training and competition center, sports medicine and the future of health and wellness.
This is one of the largest projects to be started in Clermont, located just a few minutes west of Orlando. After a global search, Clermont was chosen as the ideal location for the project due to its "sense of community". The Olympus project will kick off the Wellness Way Area, a growth and innovation corridor consisting of more than 15,000 acres in the vicinity of Orange County's Horizon West and the western entrance to Walt Disney World. The Olympus development is estimated to create more than 5,000 jobs and generate more than $1.4 billion in local economic impact over a 10-year period.

Guided by its brand promise "Epic. Every Day, "Olympus uniquely combines multi-sport training and competition venues, state-of-the-art wellness, health and fitness facilities and a dynamic city center with world-class restaurants, stores, hotels, cultural and community events and much more.
Drafted by some of Florida's most respected planners and engineers, the Olympus master plan comprises a synergistic set of development zones, including:
- Multi-sport competitions and training spaces for university, professional and elite athletes; with sports celebrities, legendary coaches and global sports brands/properties;
- Advanced wellness, fitness and sports medicine facilities for athletes, individuals, families, businesses and the local community; with public gymnasiums, state-of-the-art fitness center and health club, destination spa and renowned orthopedic doctors/groups;
- World-class lodging, dining, shopping and office/conference venues for visitors, businesses and local residents; with top restaurant brands, exclusive retail brands, leading hotel/resort brands and more.
For years, Olympic athletes have gravitated to the National Training Center, which is part of South Lake Hospital. Athletes with ties to South Lake County won a total of 10 medals at the Summer Games in Rio de Janeiro in 2016.
Olympus will include nine "broadcast-ready" facilities and competition centers that will cater to a mix of traditional, non-traditional and emerging sports, such as inland surfing, ice hockey, soccer and tennis.
Plans for the Town Center - "the vibrancy of the community" - call for hotels, restaurants, stores, an outdoor amphitheater and a Black Box theater, said Carroll, co-founder and CEO of Olympus Sports & Entertainment Group.
The sports medicine campus will include a wellness center with traditional spa services and holistic programs, a rehabilitation and diagnostic center for orthopedic injuries, and a performance center offering physiology, nutrition and conditioning programs.
Around US$25 million in road networks will be built to accommodate the project. Plans are moving forward and construction is expected to be completed in 2025/2026.
