And wouldn't you know it—we were right! For at least three years, we've been keeping an eye on this area between Clermont and Winter Garden, now known as Wellness Way. From the very first reports about the approval of the Olympus project—the massive sports complex that will be built there—to all the developments springing up in the surrounding area.
If this area is new to you, be sure to watch the video below that we made in 2019, showcasing everything that was coming to the Clermont area. Much of what we discussed in the video is already happening.
The first residential project in the region was Ridgeview, which began sales to the general public after several units had already been sold during the presale phase; units are still available, as sales are conducted in phases. Ridgeview currently has two homebuilders offering floor plans: Pulte Homes and Hanover Family Builders.
Adjacent to Ridgeview, Beazer Homes is coming soon with an additional 341 lots. It is a well-known homebuilder in the region, which is also responsible for Park View at The Hills in Minneola.
Lennar, one of the largest U . S. homebuilders, is also working full steam ahead on construction projects there. The company has received approval for a project involving 1,850 single-family homes in the area. It will also be responsible for extending Hancock Rd to the Olympus area. For those who aren’t familiar, Hancock Rd will connect this area to Marsh Rd and Colonial Rd (US 50).
Finally, in 2021, the Canadian homebuilder GT Homes acquired a 700-acre tract for $51.5 million. The tract will be divided by the future expressway that will connect US-27 with SR-429 in Winter Garden.
